This remarkable five-year-old grey gelding combines beautiful bloodhorse-type conformation with a fantastic way of jumping; he is also very pleasant on the ground. Chabalito is a true asset for both show jumping and the hunters. This Holsteiner represents the breeding program of the renowned Ritters family. Chabalito is from Casalito’s second crop of foals; the stallion is currently successful at the 1.50m level under Christian Hess. His dam, bred to Conello, produced the international show jumper Chikkimikki, whose achievements under Angelique Rüsen include second place in the 1.50m Grand Prix of CSI2* Biblis. In addition, the national 1.40m show jumpers Claudine 10 (s.Claudio) and Claudia 37 (s.Claudio) as well as the international 1.35m horse La Costa (s.Larimar) are out of the same dam as Chabalito. Outliers from this direct branch of Holsteiner-line 730B which have preceded Chabalito in the international sport include the Grand Prix show jumper Quasimodo (s.Quidam’s Rubin) and Avitus (s.Acadius), who placed in the 1.45m Grand Prix.8.
